GEBTA's Mission

GEBTA is a European Association of National Guilds of business travel agents, whose mission is to speak and act in unity for the benefit of the business travellers and the agents who serve them.
 

GEBTA's MISSION:

  • GEBTA is an association formed to champion the interests of the European Business Travel sector, both travellers and the travel management companies who serve them.
  • GEBTA provides a single clear message of the sector to European policy makers.
 

OBJECTIVES:

  • To ensure that the business traveller get the very best service and assistance from business travel suppliers.
  • To maintain a dialogue accross national boundaries with suppliers and European regulation authorities on behalf of business travellers and their agents.
  • To monitor trends and technical developments affecting the business travel sector to facilitate strategic planning.
  • To raise standards of professionalism of the business travel management industry in Europe by encouraging investments in training and product quality.
  • To address and support issues concerning the improvement of the European travel infrastructure.

GEBTA has professionally built up its authority in the business travel sector to the point where it is now called upon as an adviser on all aspects of travel, be they technical or political. Believing that business have received less attention than they deserve from those who provide the facilities and infrastructure for travel.
GEBTA has been vocal in pointing out their vital importance to the European economy.
GEBTA maintains a continued pressure on suppliers and regulators to grant special provisions for the business travellers both in infrastructure and in costs of travel. The independent existence of GEBTA with its exclusive focus on the business traveller ensures that the interests of the business travel sector are dealt with adequately.
